Breakfast in the Park with Compassion United

Dear Church Family,
We would like to invite your family to participate in a special ministry opportunity! Our church is privileged to be able to partner with Compassion United in feeding the homeless of Conroe this January. We are very excited to join in this ministry and will be sending out more details soon! For now, please mark your calendars for January 19th!
Instructions from Compassion United:
We serve approx 125 individuals on Saturday mornings, we ask that your group being their meal cooked and ready to serve to the park no later then 9:15am.
What to Bring:
Your welcome to bring what ever breakfast items your group would like to serve. We just ask that it’s enough to feed 125 individuals. Some examples are breakfast tacos, pancakes, oatmeal,eggs, meat, fruit, pastries etc. If you want to prepare a traditional breakfast, we suggest 22 dozen eggs,22 lbs of bacon, 22 lbs of sausage, 22 lbs of potatoes. You can also bring extra goodies pastries, fruit, juice, milk etc.
Devotional:
Your group will have the opportunity to lead the devotional. We ask that the devotional is something based straight out of the Bible and suggest that you keep the devotional and prayer about 6-12 minutes. We start to lose people interest, and the food will get cold with no way to reheat it if you speak much longer.
Supplies:
Compassion United will supply all of the paper products including cups,plates, to-go boxes, utensils, napkins, tables, chairs and the PA system. Your group just needs to provide the beverages and food ready to be served!
